With some justification, June’s been a good recruiting month for USC.
And there are plenty of media reports to back this up.
But I haven’t read a media report on a negative incident that took place during the visit of a big-time prospect. It seems the language used by a USC staffer was a big turn off during the campus visit and word spread quickly among some members of the coaching staff about the incident.
This is how it got back to me.
Was it a fatal blow? I don’t know. But I know USC feels it has ground to make up now with this recruit, which you rarely hear when you read how a recruit feels about the Trojans.
Just remember that for all the wizardry performed by some in recrutiing, there are still others fully capable of dropping the ball, as happened in this case.
did they actually let Clay Helton speak with a recruit?
Is this all the info you're going to give us about this incident?
