aAfter just four spring practices, a USC assistant coach told me his assumptions from last year are true about freshman QB Jaxson Dart.
“He can be better than (Kedon) Slovis,” the coach said. “He’s more athletic. He can move, which we haven’t had for awhile at that position.
“But the really impressive part is how he looks off receivers and can throw no-look passes. He’s been even better than advertised.”
Right now, it looks like Dart will be the No. 2 QB entering the season with the coaches confident he could play immediately.
Another player drawing compliments from the assistant coach is tailback Keaontay Ingram, who transferred from Texas.
“He’s going to surprise people because they don’t know a lot about him but he’s already turned enough heads for us to know he will make an impact.”
OMFG, what's with this third-rate coaching regime and the "shiny new object" syndrome they have? I think they use it as a distraction because they don't develop players, they just let them come in and throw them away. Get rid of these people already (along with the Bovard Bunch)!
He's not going to surprise too many people with that O-Line. Derek Henry couldn't make any yardage behind these guys.
