He doesn’t answer the question like he enjoyed it. And his answer is delusional, as if USC is a national power or still winning like under Pete Carroll.
Clay Helton is SOO intellectually dishonest. He’s framing this like winning championships is the ONLY thing he’s not doing. Of course, it runs much deeper than that. Teams have always underperformed under Helton including 2017. Since then, the team has a 18-13 record in a weak conference and has had one quality win. Appreciate how that reporter phrased the question and yes that was Clay Helton’s way of saying F-U.
