Mike Bohn’s only talent is building an ineffective, unwieldy athletic department bureaucracy. Bohner’s $160 million in budget deficits at Cincinnati will look like chicken feed by the time he’s done at USC. For now, he and Carol Folt can and will blame the coronavirus. These are not leaders. There’s one simple, meaningful change that Bohn and Folt could make that would have a bigger impact than anything else, but they’ve chosen to punt.

Scott, a constant revolving door is a classic sign of piss poor management. No one wanted to come work for Folt, so she ended up with a toady. Bohn didn't do a good job at Colorado, and it's the same here. I just hope the push back to all of this merde (in and outside of the athletic departlment) will start in the fall when the campus opens up. Troy is a s*** show right now.

That old line about "the truest things are said in jest" is applicable on this one. Scott was being Scott when he mentioned Bohn needing a backup so he could spend more time on his pre and post game pep talks....but... I can't help feeling that's closer to the truth than Scott imagines. Bohn sees himself as USC's Uber-Coach. It's the perfect job for him in so many ways ---mainly cuz there's no metric by which he can be judged. The W's and L's go on other people's resumes.

Meanwhile ---as Bohn goes about his special duties --- somebody has to do [and be responsible for] the job of Athletic Director. So out comes a job announcement for Chief Operating Officer which perfectly tracks the job description of Athletic Director.
